Peppers didn’t be part of the Italian gastronomic heritage for a long time. Until the Renaissance, in fact, this tasty vegetable was unknown to European populations and was only thaks to the discovery of America that made its entry into Italian tables.
At first Peppers were used only as ornaments, for their intense color, after years they began to be introduced also in food recipes.
