Italian Mussels are a simple but genuine tasty dish, typical of Neapolitan tradition, in southern Italy. Fresh mussels, parsley and black pepper for a dish perfect for the most gourmet palates!
Ingredients:
- 2 kg of Mussels
- 1 garlic clove
- Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 bunch of parsley
- black pepper
For the bread croutons:
- 8 slices of homemade bread (Pugliese type)
- Extra virgin olive oil
- salt
- 1 spring of oregano
- 1 clove of garlic
Preparation:
First, clean the mussels: remove those with the broken shell, then rinse under the running water, and clean them one by one by scraping the shell with the knife of a knife to remove the incrustations, then remove the beard and pass a wicker metal. Store them in a refrigerator (no more than 8-10 hours).
Meanwhile cut 8 slices of bread and in a bowl poured oil and then add garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano. Spread the slices of bread on an oven baking pan, brush with the emulsion of flavored oil and bake them in the oven at 200 ° for a few minutes. Place a piece of oil in a large pot, add the garlic and let it brown, then pour the mussels clean, cover with a lid and continue cooking until they are discarded. When all mussels are opened, turn off the fire and season with minced parsley and ground black pepper, put the lid back and shake the pot to mush the mussels. Enjoy the mussels accompanied by bread croutons.
